I love this new stamp set, Walk in the Wild! When I saw this stamp set, I fell in love with it right away because the moose was an animal I could really relate to. My Dad was a hunter and always had an interesting story to share about his hunting experiences. He even committed to memory, a poem called "The Lordly Old Moose". Wish I could get my hands on it for a refresher because it was an amazing story in poem form, all about 'the big hunt".
Now for the creation of this card: the moose was sponged with Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip and Early Expresso. The grass was sponged with Old Olive and Always Artichoke. The Early Expresso background layer is the Coredinations cardstock embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing folder and then sanded to reveal some of the white core. The ovals are cut out with our NEW ovals framelits. They are wonderful!
This is going to be one of my Convention Swaps. More variations of the moose to follow in my next post. Preparing swaps for convention and coming up with new ideas is taking priority over blog posting but I'm nearing the end so hope to start posting more soon.
In addition, my blog will soon have a NEW look very soon so keep tuned. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
This is a clean and simple version of the "moose" from the NEW stamp set, Walk in the Wild.
Here is a stepped up version of the same card--I added an extra layer, some embossing and a scalloped layer under the sentiment. Sponging is the technique used to color this image. Adding extra layers really adds to the WOW factor--wish you could see the real card, it is better than this photo shows.
If you like what I've done, please leave a comment after this post. Thanks and have a great day!
This card features Ombre Sponging Technique. Colors used are Pear Pizzaz, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green. For my first sample, I think it turned out very well. The photo doesn't show as much shading as the actual card so as usual, the photo doesn't do justice to the card. The swirls stamped in the corners are from Everything Eleanor, second generation stamping in Garden Green. The sentiment is embossed with Black Embossing Powder, the framelit has faux stitching on the outside borders and rhinestones are added to highlight the swirls stamped in the corners.
Happy stamping! Give Ombre Sponging a try on your next card creation. Choose 3 consecutive colors from your color coach--that's what I did!
The two stamps used to create this card are from a NEW stamp, Wetlands! The ombre sponging technique was used to create the background. To create this look, you simply sponge each color in a circular motion, blending the colors together. The colors used for the background are Pear Pizzaz, Sky and Marina Mist.
Stamp 'n Write Markers--Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black and Garden Green were used to color the image, huff the image to add extra moisture after coloring and stamp on Whisper White cardstock. Then cut out with Oval Framelit. The goose was then masked and the background created by sponging.
This is an easy, fun technique to try. Thanks for visiting today.
Triple Time sample #1:
Triple time stamping is so much fun and so easy. When I prepare convention swaps, I usually make more than one sample before I decide on the final card. That's where you come in today.
Triple Time sample #2:
This sample has Wisteria Wonder Candy Dots on two of the flowers.
Now it's your turn: which one do you like best?
It was a week ago today that we laid my father-in-law to rest.
This is another variation of a sympathy card I made using the same colors and embossing folder but changed the layout. Did you notice the brad in the centre of the doily? Well, it's NEW! I used an Elegant Eggplant candy dot on a Candy Dot Brad Base. I'm really loving the Candy Dots--they come in all colors and are self adhesive. You can use them alone or on a Candy Dot Brad Base. Seriously, they are a lot of FUN to use and add a cool dimension to your creation!

This is my version of yesterday's post. The Secret Garden Stamp set and coordinating Framelits were just the perfect fit for this creation. I tried out a brand new embossing folder, Beautifully Baroque #130917 to add some extra texture to the top of the card.
The colors used are Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant. Use Versamark and Silver Embossing powder to emboss the flowers and leaves and cut the leaves out with the Framelits.
What a fast and easy card to create! I love it! If you'e interested in making some fast, fun and easy cards, why not consider a Private Stamp Class with me. I didn't make this card, it's an idea I got when I was looking cards in the store and today was just the perfect day to share this drug store version since the recent passing of my father-in-law. I liked the layout and also the words. This is the inside of the card.
Please keep tuned for my own recreation of this card real soon! Thanks for looking. Please come back for my original creations with new products soon!
